About The Speaker
Selma Lee is the Innovation Program Leader for IBM Caribbean. She is responsible for initiating programs to foster innovation within the Caribbean at all levels – high schools, universities, government institutions and corporations. Prior to her current role, Selma was the Senior Client Executive for the banking industry in Trinidad and Guyana. She worked in this area for twenty years. During this time, she built many strong relationships with clients in this sector and helped them develop solutions that increased their revenue, efficiency and customer satisfaction. Selma joined IBM as a Systems Engineer in 1989 and worked on the AS/400 platform for many years. During her years at IBM, she has been exposed to training in many areas through classroom, online learning and numerous conferences. She has a deep passion for working with young people and brings her years of experience in the business world to the developer community.
