We will show snippets of one of our talks followed by a Q&A with the speaker Terrence W. Farrell
Title: Culture and Economic Underachievement in Trinidad and Tobago
Terrence W. Farrell has devoted many waking hours to shaping policy initiatives which helped to restructure Trinidad and Tobago’s international debt and IMF programmes, liberalise the economy and structure the flotation of the country’s currency. His work has also informed the policy direction and initiatives of private sector institutions in the Financial Sector, IT Services and the Media.
Speaker: Bridget Lewis
Title: Girls have to Tech It Up to Live It Up
Bridget Lewis identifies the need to disrupt the future role of women in technology by beginning with girls. She describes what happened when girls participated in the Caribbean’s first all-female hack-a-thon aimed at surfacing solutions to problems typically experienced by women and girls. She encourages you to expand your imagination and dream of a world which is benefiting from the 50% of women who are currently not at the TECH table.
